Twenty years on the road: the peace caravan
QPI grew out of the Change Agent Peace Program, a peace caravan that has travelled Kenya since the early 2000s.
Before QPI had an office, it had a caravan. The Change Agent Peace Program brought Quakers and Quaker-led organisations together to travel from community to community, talking about peace.
That network became QPI in 2014, and was registered as an NGO in 2016. The caravan spirit, going to people rather than waiting for them, still shapes how we work.
